In conducting psychoeducational and neuropsychological testing and evaluation for children, adolescents, and adults our focus is on helping clients understand their unique strengths and challenges.

Many people seek evaluations because they face challenges in school and work. Others are looking to gain additional insight into themselves. We conduct assessments for children, adolescents, and adults to identify developmental, emotional, and/or attention difficulties and learning challenges, as well as personal strengths, and to help inform Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and other interventions.
We find that for many people, assessments provide insights into struggles and challenges they may have been experiencing for years. Thoughtful, well done evaluations can be tremendous tools that help inform treatment.
In individual and group therapy contexts, we work to help clients meet their individual goals and build coping skills through a range of evidence-based approaches.
Our approach to therapy is integrative, influenced by attachment theory and interpersonal approaches to psychotherapy, while also incorporating techniques from a variety of evidence-based treatments including cognitive and behavioral therapies.
We also offer skills building groups for teens and adults.
We provide therapy primarily through secure teletherapy, as well as in-person as desired.

Montgomery Psychological Services, LLC does not participate as an in-network provider for any insurance carrier. However, I do provide clients with statements that include the information necessary to submit to their insurance companies.
About
Dr. Margaret Feerick
Dr. Feerick earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English (with a minor in Psychology) from Barnard College, Columbia University; a Master of Arts Degree in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University; and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Developmental Psychology from Cornell University in New York. She completed a post-doctoral certificate of respecialization in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA, which is an APA-accredited doctoral program and which included an APA-accredited internship in psychology. Dr. Feerick completed advanced clinical training at a variety of settings including: the DC Child Advocacy Center; the DC Superior Court Child Guidance Clinic; the Family Center at the Kennedy Krieger Institute; Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; Howard University Counseling Center, and several private group practices including Psychological Assessment Solutions, Campbell Psychological Services, and the Wake Kendall Group PLLC.
